Opintomatka Tukholmaan / Field trip to Stockholm

Tämä postaus tulee olemaan täynnä kuvia :) / This post is going to be full of pictures :)

Aloitimme matkamme 6.5. Lähdimme Seinäjoelta kohti Turkua ja satamaa. / We started our trip on 6th of May. We left Seinäjoki and headed our way to Turku harbour.

In the ship, after one very strong cocktail (bartender didn't know how to do it, so it was pure alcohol and he forgot to put sprite in it) we went to bed because we had an early waking the next day.

En tajunnut koko metro systeemiä -_- / On the 7th of May we arrived to Sweden and firstly we went to the tubes. This was my second time in a tube and I must admit, I'm glad I wasn't alone. I don't get the whole tube system -_-

Ensimmäinen aamiaiseni Coffee House by Georgessa. / My first breakfast in Coffee House by George.

Tässä näkymä Georgen ikkunasta. / This is the view from George's window.

After our breakfast we went for a little stroll (it was a mistake, because we walked very much the whole day) because our programme started at ten (the clock in the pictures isn't in real time).

Ensimmäinen kohteemme oli Stockholms Stadsbibliotek, Tukholman kaupunginkirjasto. / Our first destination was Stockholms Stadsbibliotek, Stockholms Public Library.

Vihreämpää kuin Suomessa / And as you can see, it was already very green in Sweden. Greener than in Finland.

Kaupunginkirjasto oli mielenkiintoinen paikka. Tämä on pyöreän pääsalin katto. / The Public Library was very interesting place. This was the round great hall's roof.

Pyöreässä pääsalissa oli kirjoja kolmessa kerroksessa. / There were books in three floors at the round great hall.

Lastenosasto oli valloittava paikka. Tämä suosituspuu oli ihana idea. / The children's section was a lovely place. This recommendation tree was a great idea.

Tämä upea kuva löytyi satuhuoneesta. / This beautiful picture was in the story room.

Kirjastolla oli todella iso palautus/lajittelu robotti. / The library had a very big return/sorting robot.

This fella welcomed us to International library which was our second destination and it was in contact of the public library.

Kansainvälisessä kirjastossa oli kirjoja ympäri maailmaa monella eri kielellä. / There were books all over the world and with many different languages.

Paikallisen city kanin/ketun/jonkun muun koti? / The home of the local city rabbit/fox/something else's?

Kolmas kohteemme oli Kulturhuset, Kulttuuritalo. / Our third destination was Kulturhuset, The House of Culture.

Joku yritti epätoivoisesti päästä sisälle ikkunan kautta vaikka ovistakin pääsisi. / There were someone desperately trying to get in through window, even though there were doors to walk through.

Lastenosasto oli täälläkin aivan ihana! / The children section was also very wonderful here!

Ja nuortenosasto oli vieläkin hienompi! / And the youth section was even more wonderful!

Matkalla Keskiaikamuseoon, neljänteen kohteeseemme, näimme upeita rakennuksia. / On the way to the Middle Ages museum, our fourth destination, we saw many wonderful buildings.

Kuninkaan linna. Emme nähneet kuninkaallisia :( / The royal castle. We didn't see any royals :(

Kohti Keskiaika museota. / Towards the Middle Ages Museum.

Ja mitä kirjastotädit kuvaavat keskiaikamuseossa? No kirjoja tietty! / And from what does librarians take photos of in Middle Ages museum? Books, of course!

Keskiaikamuseon jälkeen meillä oli loppu ilta vapaa. Kävimme hieman kiertelemässä kauppoja, mitä nyt kipeillä jaloillamme pystyimme, menimme hostellillemme hetkeksi istumaan ja lopulta suuntasimme Hard Rock Cafeeseen syömään. Ei ollut kovin ihmeellistä ruokaa. Olisin kaivannut hampurilaiseeni jotain kastiketta. / After the Middle Ages museum we had free time rest of the night. We went for a little shopping, or at least as much as our sore feet gave in, walked to our hostel, sat a little and then we headed our way to eat in Hard Rock Cafe. It wasn't anything special. I would have really liked to have some kind of sauce in my burger. The service was nice and the workers were very laid back, but when we had to pay the bill there was a problem. The custom of paying the bill was very different than in Finland so we hadn't prepared for that.

The next day, the 8th of May, we went to Luma library. The weather was worse, but luckily it didn't rain much.

Kuvassa on vessan ovet, lapsille on oma ovi :) / And like everywhere else, the children section was a wonderful place here too. It seems like Swedish are investing much more on children and youth than Finnish. In the picture there's doors to the toilets, the children has their own door :)

Our last destination was Fotographiska, Photography museum. It was a shame I couldn't really concentrate on the wonderful pictures because my feet hurt so much.

We ate lunch at Fotographiska and it was really good!

Rakastuin Wanhaan kaupunkiin! Haluan sinne uudestaan! / We had few hours free time before we had to go to ship to Finland. Although our feet were begging for mercy, we decided to go to see the Gamla Stan, the Old Town. It was worth it, although, I'm sure we would have enjoyed more of it if our feet wouldn't have hurt so much. I fell in love to the Old Town! I want back there!

Näimme kuninkaan linnan myös toiselta puolelta. / We saw the royal castle from the other side too.

Löysimme tämän yksinäisen puun. / We found this lonely tree.

Ja tapasimme tämän tontun. Kerroin terveisiä Taavetilta ja Tanelilta, omilta kotitontuiltani :) / We also met this elf. I told him greetings from my own home elfs Taavetti and Taneli :)

And finally it was time to head our way back to Finland.

Ruoka maittoi laivalla. / The food was good in the ship.

Ja sain paremman drinkin kuin viime kerralla. Kauan emme jaksaneet valvoa, vaan menimme taas aikaisin nukkumaan. / And I got a much better coctail than last time. But we couldn't stay awake for long, so we went bed early.

Viimeisenä päivänä, 9.5., kävimme vielä Turun kaupunginkirjastossa. Lastenosastolla oli My Little Pony näyttely :) / On the last day, 9th of May, we visited Turku Public Library (in Finland). In the children section there were My Little Pony exhibit :)

Tämä sänky nuortenosastolla oli erittäin kutsuva! :D / This bed at the youth section was very welcoming! :D

Viimeinen ateriani ennen kuin luokkakaverini lähtivät takaisin Seinäjoelle. Itse jäin vielä Turkuun koska olin menossa äidilleni ja suuntasin sitten illalla junalla Tampereelle, kotiin. / This was my last supper before my classmates went back to Seinäjoki. I stayed in Turku because I visited my mother and I left to Tampere, to home, with train later in the evening.

Sen verran jäi vielä näkemättä :) / The trip was a success! We had a lot of fun and we saw and heard many interesting things. It seems that Sweden has a little bit better libraries than Finland. But in some cases Finland is better, like with E-books and media education. I would really like to go back to Stockholm. There were so much things still unseen :)
