Jari Tervo: Pohjan hovi

English below

Kirjan takakansi:

Pohjan hovi on hurja verbaalinen ilotulitus..." loppu on kirjastolapun alla eikä näy :(

The book's back cover:

"Vartiainen, Perserkki and Lunssila are driving from Rovaniemi to Sodankylä and back again with a taxi and Mercedes Benz, they are swaying between drunkenness and hang over and they are speaking nonstop about the world.
The men are connected by crime, vodka and careless relationships. Speech is smelling like vodka which is with exaggeration, the power source for men. They are bad people but they signal a pure joy of life to the reader. Tervo's sentence is carrying a lot of stuff. Lines aren't separated from each others, speech is flowing like Kemi river, you don't always know who is speaking - the main thing is there's enough tales and stories which are following each others without interrupting other. Men talk over each other and everyone has something to say about the world in their monolog. When someone is touched by the birds, scenery, trees and seasons the text turns into a bright poem.
Pohjan hovi is a fierce verbal firework..." the end of the text is under the library sticker and I can't read the rest :(

I must admit, I didn't understand a thing what was happening in the book.

It was really difficult to read because the lines weren't separated from each others and the text wasn't in anykind of division.

I have no idea who all the people was which were mentioned in the book. Suddenly they were somewhere and suddenly they were with someone or atleast talking of somebody.

There were those wonderful moments when I did understand something but when starting the next chapter I was confused again. I did though find those poem like parts. And they were quite beautiful.

But, I just can't understand the book. And I didn't like it at all.
